Dr. Ruxandra TOPA-ORSET, PsyD

Experienced psychiatrist and psychotherapist for more than 20 years, she is integrating psychoanalytical, systemic family therapy and mindfulness based approaches in her clinical work. By promoting the integrative psychiatry she uses both scientific evidence based medicine and complementary therapies in order to provide personalized treatments to suit each person's lifestyle and strengthen self-awareness and resources for self-care.

By her large view of interest in intercultural practices in mental health, mind-body connection, anthropology and philosophy she is promoting, through the interdisciplinary and intercultural dialogue, the enrichment of existing therapies and also facilitating preventive actions for health and well- being.

Her actual work focuses on mindfulness meditation and behavioral medicine approaches to pain and stress management.

As mindfulness based programs instructor she was trained in Geneva (MBCT), at Bangor University's Center for Mindfulness Research and Practice in UK (MBSR) and at the University of California San Diego's Center for Mindfulness (MBCP).
